A Soft Pre-Launch Late 2024 and Early 2025

We are excited to announce a soft pre-launch of our mountain cottage short term. This is for friends and family or those they know and trust. While we are still putting the finishing touches on the cottage and there are a few more furnishing to add, it's already a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The cottage won't be available for public rentals until early 2025, but we’re offering sharply discounted nightly rates during this pre-launch, based on availability. Take advantage of this opportunity, especially during mid-October to experience the breathtaking fall colors of Western North Carolina!

The kitchen in our mountain retreat is equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals, featuring sleek Frigidaire Gallery appliances—including a range, microwave, and convection oven. As you cook, you can gaze out at the rolling mountains, letting the view inspire your culinary creations. While the kitchen is still evolving, it’s stocked with the essentials, so you’ll have everything you need to make due. And for those crisp mountain mornings, start your day right with our coffee options—whether you prefer the rich flavor of a French Press or the convenience of a Keurig. The cozy den at Golden Bear Cottage is the perfect spot to unwind, with large windows framing the breathtaking views of the trees and mountains beyond. The fireplace adds warmth and charm, creating a welcoming atmosphere for chilly mountain evenings. The space already offers a serene retreat, where nature’s beauty outside blends effortlessly with the cozy charm inside. A 58" TV allows for streaming your favorite shows or movie in the evening.

Three Bedrooms and Three Full Bathrooms

After a day spent exploring mountain trails and breathing in the fresh, crisp air, nothing is more welcoming than retreating to one of our three bedrooms, each offering the comfort of a king-size bed for a quiet, restful night. The peaceful mountain surroundings seem to lull you into a deeper sleep, where dreams flow as effortlessly as the streams you wandered beside earlier. Each bedroom also comes with its own full bathroom, complete with fresh linens, ensuring you have everything you need to relax and recharge for the adventures of tomorrow.

The deck at Golden Bear Cottage is truly the best spot to experience the magic of the mountains. At nearly 4,000 feet, backed up to a national forest with minimal light pollution, you’ll witness stunning sunrises in the morning and the brightest stars imaginable at night. Surrounded by the sounds of nature—rustling leaves, a babbling creek, and the occasional sight of a black bear, deer, or wild turkey—it's the perfect place to savor a meal, enjoy a beverage, or simply get lost in a good book. Whether morning or night, the deck on Rye Mountain is where you’ll want to be.

From the front doorstep of Golden Bear Cottage, the forest beckons with its quiet invitation. In just a 45-minute walk, winding trails will lead you deeper into nature’s embrace, where the whispers of the trees guide your steps.
